Weeden Foundation

Founded in 1963, the Weeden Foundation embraces the protection of biodiversity as its main priority. Population growth, and over-consumption have also evolved into major program interests in order to more fully address the key factors driving biological impoverishment and rising greenhouse gas emissions. The Foundation directly addresses this threat through global efforts to counter deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions by forest industries, and efforts to expand protection of large intact forests that help to stabilize the climate.
